Egg in a hole with leeks
Ingredients
- 6 bacon slices, chopped
- 1 package of 250 g (4 cups) of Les Cultures de chez nous sliced leeks
- Salt and pepper
- 45 ml (3 tablespoons) of butter
- 6 bread slices
- 6 eggs
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). In a pan, brown bacon for 2 minutes. Add leeks and brown for 2 minutes, then add salt and pepper and set aside.
- Butter bread slices on both sides. With a cookie cutter, cut a large circle in the middle of the bread slices. Keep centers.
- Lay bread slices and bread centers over a large baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Break an egg in each hole. Season with salt and pepper. Bake in the oven for 6 to 7 minutes.
- Divide the sliced leeks and bacon mixture into 6 plates. Set a bread slice into each plate and place an egg in its center. Serve hot.
