Ingredients
  • Brown sugar crystals
  • 375 ml (1 1/2 cups) of cranberry juice
  • 150 ml (2/3 cup) of tequila
  • 150 ml (2/3 cup) of orange liqueur
  • 150 ml (2/3 cup) of simple syrup
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) of lime juice
  • 1 litre (4 cups) of ice cubes
  • Blueberries for decoration
  • Lime wedges
Preparation

  • Spread brown sugar on a plate. Run a lime wedge around the rim of 6 glasses. Then, dip the rims in the brown sugar to coat. Set aside.
  • In a blender or a food processor, combine the cranberry juice, tequila, orange liqueur, simple syrup, and lime juice. Add the ice cubes and blend until desired consistency.
  • Pour into reserved glasses. Garnish with blueberries!
Chef’s note

Simple syrup recipe:

  1. Combine 250 ml (1 cup) of water and 250 ml (1 cup) of sugar in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring often, for 3 to 5 minutes or until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  2. Let cool.
