Ingredients

  • 1 package of 250 g (4 cups) of Les Cultures de chez nous sliced leeks
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) of butter
  • 6 chopped and crispy cooked bacon slices
  • 4 large eggs
  • 250 ml (1 cup) of cooking cream
  • 250 ml (1 cup) of grated Emmenthal cheese
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • A precooked quiche pastry
  • Freshly ground salt and pepper

Preparation

  • Preheat oven at 375 °F (190 °C).
  • Heat butter in a pan at medium heat. Add leeks, season and cook 12 minutes until it melts. Remove leeks from pan, drain well and cool down a bit.
  • Spread leeks within the quiche pastry. Sprinkle with bacon and season well.
  • Mix eggs with cream. Season. Pour over leeks and cover with cheese. Sprinkle nutmeg and oven bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
  • Garnish with crumbled bacons before serving, if desired.
