Leeks and bacon quiche
Ingredients
- 1 package of 250 g (4 cups) of Les Cultures de chez nous sliced leeks
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) of butter
- 6 chopped and crispy cooked bacon slices
- 4 large eggs
- 250 ml (1 cup) of cooking cream
- 250 ml (1 cup) of grated Emmenthal cheese
- 1 pinch of nutmeg
- A precooked quiche pastry
- Freshly ground salt and pepper
- Preheat oven at 375 °F (190 °C).
- Heat butter in a pan at medium heat. Add leeks, season and cook 12 minutes until it melts. Remove leeks from pan, drain well and cool down a bit.
- Spread leeks within the quiche pastry. Sprinkle with bacon and season well.
- Mix eggs with cream. Season. Pour over leeks and cover with cheese. Sprinkle nutmeg and oven bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Garnish with crumbled bacons before serving, if desired.
