Asparagus and ham Danish pastry pie

  • 1 square (1/2 package of 450 gr) of puff pastry, pre-rolled and frozen, thawed
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) of old-style mustard
  • 8 to 12 asparagus tips
  • 180 ml (3/4 cup) of chopped ham
  • 125 ml (3/4 cup) of grated gruyère cheese
  • Black pepper

  • Unroll puff pastry with the parchment paper contained in the package and set everything up over the cooking plate. Spread mustard over the pastry while letting a space of 1/2 po (1 cm) over each sides.
  • Peel the base of each asparagus if needed and slice into pieces of 1 po (2,5 cm).each. Spread ham over the crust and garnish with asparagus, then with grated cheese. Pepper up to your taste. Spread sides with oil or whisked egg yolk, if desired.
  • Oven bake into pre-heated oven at 375 °F (190°C) for 15 to 18 minutes or until the crust puff and browns.
