375 ml (1 1/2 cup) of parmesan, grated

Preparation
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
Cut off the green part of the leeks. Cut the remaining parts of the leeks into 1 1/2 inch sections (about 4 cm).
Set the leeks in an oven-proof dish of 9 x 13 inches (23 cm x 33 cm). It is important to pack the leek sections in the dish tightly.
In a small bowl, mix the cooking cream and the parmesan. Season with salt and pepper.
Pour the cream mixture over the leeks. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for around 1 hour. Remove the aluminum foil and grill for about 10 minutes.
