Ingredients

  • 1 cup (250 ml ) of sugar
  • 2 cups (500 ml) of water
  • 2¾ cups (700 ml) of flour
  • 2/3 cup (150 ml) of fat or butter
  • 4½ teaspoons (22 ml) of baking powder
  • 1½ teaspoon (7,5 ml) of salt
  • 1 cup (250 ml) of milk
  • 3 cups (750 ml) of blueberries
  • 1/3 cup (85 ml) of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of butter

Preparation

  • Mix sugar and water at low heat.
  • Mix dry ingredients and fat with a pastry blender until the dough crumbles. Add milk and stir it up with a fork until the mixture is moist. Knead 20 seconds and lower down with a rolling pin (size 10'' x 12'').
  • Spread fruits over the dough. Sprinkle sugar and butter. Roll, press down the sides and slice into slices of 1'' (so about 12 slices). Set side by side (must see the fruits) at the bottom of a mold and spray with the mixture of water and sugar.
  • Oven bake at 450 °F (230 °C) for 25 to 35 minutes.
