Ingredients

  • 250 gr (1/2 pound) of shortcrust dough
  • 3 eggs
  • 250 ml (1 cup) of 35% cooking cream
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) of sugar
  • 75 ml (5 tablespoons) of melted dark chocolate
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) of cocoa
  • 450 gr (1 pound) of strawberries
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) of strawberry jam

Preparation

  • Lower dough into a circle of 22.5 cm (9 inches) then set in a pie pan of 20 cm (8 inches). Set aside at fresh.
  • Preheat oven at 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, whisk eggs with cream, sugar, chocolate and cocoa, until obtaining an homogenized preparation.
  • Pour the preparation in the pie pan.
  • Oven bake for 30 to 40 minutes until garnishing is firm. Remove from oven and cool down, then refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
  • Set strawberries over the garnishing.
  • In a casserole or in the microwave, melt strawberries jam. With a brush coat strawberries with warm jam. Serve right away.
