Asparagus and mushrooms sauté

  • 15 ml (1 tablespoon) of olive oil
  • 1 sliced onion
  • 2 ml (1/2 teaspoon) of basil
  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • 750 ml (3 cups) of fresh shiitake mushrooms, hulled and sliced
  • 500 ml (2 cups) of sliced Swiss brown mushrooms
  • 2 finely chopped garlic cloves
  • 500 gr (1 pound) of garlic cloves, trimmed and sliced into pieces of 4 cm (1½ inch) in lenght

  • In a wok or a large nonstick pan, heal oil at high heat. Add onion, basil, salt and pepper. Cook 2 minutes while stirring.
  • Add shiitake mushrooms, Swiss brown mushrooms, garlic and cook while stirring, for about 2 minutes or until liquids evaporates. Add asparagus and cook while stirring for 4 minutes or until well cooked, but still lightly crispy.
