Ingredients
  • 10 ml (2 teaspoons) of vegetable oil
  • 1/2 package of 250 g (2 cups) of Les Cultures de chez nous sliced leeks
  • 2 ml (1/2 teaspoon) of salt
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) of maple syrup
  • 8 bread slices up to your choice
  • 250 g (1/2 pound) of Saint-Paulin cheese, sliced into thin slices
Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). In a small pan, heat oil at medium-high heat. Add sliced leeks and salt. Cook, while continuously stirring, for 5 to 6 minutes or until leeks tenders and lightly colours. Add maple syrup. Remove from heat and cool down.
  • Divide cheese over bread slices. Oven bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until cheese melts and lightly colours. Garnish each toast with leek pieces. Serve warm.
