500 g (1 pound) of asparagus
45 ml (3 tablespoons) of olive oil
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
30 ml (2 tablespoons) of panko breadcrumbs
250 ml (1 cup) of grated cheese (your favourite!)
Salt and pepper to taste

Oven-baked asparagus gratin

Preparation
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
Mix olive oil and finely chopped garlic in a bowl. Add the asparagus and coat them with the mixture.
Place asparagus on a baking plate covered with parchment paper. Season with salt and pepper. Cook asparagus for about 10 minutes, turning halfway through cooking, until tender but still crisp.
Sprinkle grated cheese over the asparagus and add panko breadcrumbs over the cheese.
Turn oven to broil and broil cheese until golden brown.
