Oven Baked Chickpeas

Chickpeas are perfect to replace traditional popcorn for your next movie night: with one of our spice mixes, you'll get a tasty snack rich in fiber and protein!

Ingredients

  • 1 package of 18 oz chickpeas
  • Salt up to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • A mix of spices of your choice:
Indian Mexican Moroccan
Coriander Paprika Pepper
Ginger Cumin Cinnamon
Cumin Oregano Cumin
Pepper Garlic Coriander
Garlic   Clove
Turmeric   Cardamom
    Nutmeg
    Ginger

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 400 °F (200 °C)
  2. Rinse chickpeas and drain slowly with absorbent paper
  3. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and spices and mix well
  4. Spread on a baking sheet
  5. Bake in the oven for 50 minutes & stir once when half done

Kale Chips

Ingredients

  • 1/2 bunch of kale
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt up to taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 300 °F (150 °C)
  2. Remove kale stems
  3. Cover kale with olive oil in a bowl
  4. Place kale on a baking sheet
  5. Bake in the oven for 12 to 20 minutes; check color while baking to avoid blackening (if this happens, it will have a bitter taste).

Apples Chips with Salt and Cinnamon

  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven at 250 °F (120 °C)
  2. Cut the apple in slim slices with a mandolin
  3. In a bowl, mix apple slices, salt, and cinnamon
  4. Lay slices on a baking sheet
  5. Bake for 2 to 3 hours or until brown and crispy

  • 1 cup lemon juice

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 200 °F (95 °C)
  2. Cut bananas in slices
  3. Soak slices in lemon juice
  4. Lay slices on a baking sheet
  5. Bake for about 3 hours

Sweet Potato Chips

If your favorite taste is that of the potato, here is a healthy solution: replace regular potatoes with sweet potatoes. You gain vitamins and lose calories, an irresistible combination!

  • 2 sweet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
