Leeks fondue jam

  • 6 countryside style bread slices
  • 2 packages of 250 gr (6 cups) of Les Cultures de chez nous sliced leeks
  • 3 shallots
  • 50 ml (3 tablespoons) of margarine
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) of fresh cream
  • 1/2 glass of water
  • Parmesan cheese

  • Chop shallots. In a pan, heat margarine. Roast shallots and sliced leeks. Pepper. Do not salt, since parmesan cheese is already salty. Melt for 5 minutes.
  • Add water and stir. While keeping an eye on it, slowly melt for about 15 minutes.
  • Add fresh cream then stir. Heat for 2 minutes.
  • Roast bread slices in a toaster. Set over a large baking sheet. Cover with sliced leeks fondue. Spread with parmesan cheese. Set at broil in the oven and serve hot.
