Strawberry and tequila slush

Slush à la fraise et à la tequila

  • 4 kg (16 cups) of fresh strawberries
  • 500 ml (500 g) of sugar
  • 250 ml (1 cup) of orange juice
  • 1 L (4 cups) of water
  • 475 ml (16 oz) of tequila
  • Seven Up, up to taste

  • Wash strawberries and set in a blender into a smooth puree.
  • In a cauldron, boil water, sugar and orange juice, just enough to melt sugar (2 to 3 minutes).
  • Let cool down.
  • When everything's cold, mix together with crushed strawberries and the cold mixture of sugar, water and juice. Pour tequila to mix well.
  • Set in a freezer in a large container. Stir everything up each 2 hours once again to make the slush uniform.
  • When the mixture is into a slush, pour in a glass at 2/3 and fill the rest of it with Seven Up. Mix a little and enjoy!
