  • 4 kaiser breads, not sliced
  • 1 minced leek
  • 6 eggs
  • 8 bacon slices, cooked and crumbled
  • 160 ml (2/3 cup) of grated cheddar
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) of chopped fresh chive (optional)

  • Preheat oven at 350°F (180°C).
  • Remove superior part of breads to from a cavity. Remove the crumb, then dice.
  • In a pan, heat a bit of olive oil at medium heat. Cook leek for 4 to 5 minutes while stirring.
  • In a bowl, whip eggs. Add leek, bacon, cheddar, diced crumb, and, if desired, chive. Salt and pepper.
  • With a cooking sheet covered with parchment paper, lay breads over. Divide eggs mixture into breads cavity. Oven bake for 28 to 30 minutes, until eggs takes form.
