  • 10 ml (2 tsp) vegetable oil
  • 1/2 package of sliced leeks Les Cultures de chez nous
  • 2 ml ( 1/2 tsp) salt
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp) maple syrup
  • 8 sliced of bread to taste
  • 250 gr (1/2 pound) St-Paulin cheese, in thin slices

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). In a pan, heat oil over medium-high. Add leeks and salt. Cook stirring constantly 5-6 minutes or until leeks are tender and lightly brown. Pour maple syrup. Take off the heat and let cool.
  • Spread cheese on bread slices. Cook 8-10 minutes in the oven, until cheese melt and becomes golden brown.
  • Garnish every slice of bread with pieces of leeks. Serve warm.
