  • 8 Les Cultures de chez nous leeks, sliced into four sections and washed
  • 15 ml (1 tablespoon) of lemon juice
  • 500 ml (2 cups) of hot light white sauce
  • 1 ml (1/4 teaspoon) of nutmeg
  • 75 ml (1/3 cup) of grated Gruyère cheese
  • Salt and pepper
  • A pinch of paprika
  • 500 ml (2 cups) of salted boiling water

Preparation

  • Preheat oven at 350°F (180°C). Set leeks into salted boiling water. Add lemon juice, cook 16 minutes at medium heat. Drain leeks and set in a buttered gratin plate.
  • Generously salt and pepper. Add white sauce. Sprinkle with nutmeg and grated cheese. Add a pinch of paprika. Oven bake for 20 minutes.
