• 2 Leeks-mignon from Les Cultures de Chez Nous
  • 1 French bread (baguette) ou ciabatta
  • 60 ml (1/4 cup) olive oil
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp) salted butter
  • 60 ml (2 tbsp) Dijon mustard
  • 4 leaves of leaf or romaine lettuce
  • 190 ml (3/4 cup) grated cheddar chesse, strong or mild
  • Salt and ground pepper to taste

  • Preheat the BBQ to medium heat. Blanche the leeks-mignon in boiling water for 7 minutes then allow them to cool in cold water.
  • Brush the leeks-mignon with olive oil and cook on all sides for 10 minutes or until caramelization. In the mean time, cut the baguette in half, lengthwise, brush with butter and toast on both sides. Garnish with leeks-mignon, lettuce, mustard, cheddar cheese and other trimmings of your choice. Cut into small portions held together with toothpicks.
