• 4 leeks, thinly sliced Les Cultures de chez nous
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp) butter
  • 6 slices of cooked bacon, crispy, chopped
  • 4 large eggs
  • 250 ml (1 cup) cream, 35 %
  • 250 ml (1 cup) grated emmenthal
  • 1 pince of nutmeg
  • 1 precooked Quiche pie shell
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper

  • Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F). Heat the butter in a sauce pan over medium heat. Add the leeks, season and cook for 12 minutes or until they are tender. Remove the leeks, drain well and let them cool a little.
  • Spread the leeks in the Quiches shell. Sprinkel with bacon and season well. Mix the eggs with the cream, season, pour over the leeks and cover with cheese. Sprinkel with nutmeg and bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes. Garnish with crumbled bacon before serving if desired.
