  • 3/4 pound (350 gr) medium-size shrimp (size 31/40) raw and shelled
  • 2 leeks, sliced (3 cups)
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) white wine
  • 3/4 cup (180 ml) cooking cream, 15 % m.f.
  • 3 tablespoons (45 ml) fresh chopped chives
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) turmeric

Preparation

  • In a pan, heat oil with turmeric over medium heat.
  • Cook shrimp for 1 to 2 minutes each side. Remove from the pan.
  • In the same pan, cook leeks for 4 to 5 minutes over medium-low heat. Pour white wine and reduce completely. Add cream. Salt and pepper. Let cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Add shrimp and chives. Stir.
