Ingredients

  • 1 L (4 cups) of raspberries
  • 190 ml (3/4 cup) of maple syrup
  • Cake :
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) of butter
  • 190 ml (3/4 cup^) of sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 500 ml (2 cups) of flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 15 ml (3 teaspoons) of baking powder
  • 250 ml (1 cup) of milk
  • 15 ml (1 teaspoon) of vanilla (up to taste)

Preparation

  • Preheat oven at 325 ˚F (160 °C).
  • Set raspberries and maple syrup in a lightly oiled oven safe plate.
  • In another larg bowl, prepare cake by whisking butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla together.
  • In anothr bowl, mix flour, salt and baking powder.
  • Then, each turn, add a bit of flour and milk, simultaneously in the mixture with eggs.
  • Oven bake about 40 minutes at 325 ˚F (160 °C) at center of oven.
  • Verify cooking with a toothpick.
