Ingredients

  • 8 tartlet undercrusts (2 inches)
  • 2 package of 250 gr (6 cups) of Les Cultures de chez nous sliced leeks
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) of butter
  • Salt and pepper up to taste
  • 100 ml (1/2 cup) of cooking cream
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 pinch (1/4 teaspoon) of nutmeg
  • 200 gr (1 1/2 cup) of grated Cheddar cheese

Preparation

  • Boil Les Cultures de chez nous sliced leeks for 5 minutes and drain. Melt butter in a casserole. Add leeks then salt and pepper. Stir, low heat and cover. Steam slowly for 10 minutes.
  • Remove cover, stir and cook for 5 minutes to evaporate part of liquid. Mix cream, egg yolks, nutmeg nd Cheddar cheese. Add to leeks compote and garnish tartlets undercrust.
  • Spread with Cheddar each tartlets and bake at 350 °F (180 °C) for 25 to 30 minutes.
  • Serve warm.
